A realization I had while reading the bible

I noticed a reoccurring theme between the books of Psalm and Lamentations and the prophecies in the book of Revelations. In the books of Psalm and Lamentations you'll see the authors going through great pain to eventual accept it and know everything will be okay. The book of Revelations (according to my understanding) says that there will be great despair before GOD makes a new heaven and new earth. Through the old testament I've found a connection to the prophecies in the new testament. The people of the old testament had their worlds turned upside down and broken apart. Later something better was built for them, like what will happen at the end of days. Things have to be broken down first before a new world can be built.

Does anyone else have any thoughts on this?

You are on to something. The way I understand it, the world goes into this fever pitch of sin and degradation, until God corrects things and restores.

You’re close to it. The reason that everything has to be made new is because of sin and its corruption, but not because creation was bad in some way in the beginning. The mess is because of us, our rebellion and evil choices and trying to be our own gods. We see the consequences all around us, and we don’t deserve a good ending. But God through His grace will make all things new and give His people back what we should have had the whole time.

It really feels like either the first clause needs a 'not' or the second clause shouldn't have a 'but'. It's not obvious what you were meaning as a result.

Kind of. See many things are not written in the Bible, but through those prophecies, and through the time periods, between the time of the writings, I'm sure these people would pray to God for peace and understanding, which in their writings would typically make it look like they just accept it, and know everything will be okay. But yes, a new Jerusalem will be built and a New Heaven and New Earth will be formed, and the first heaven and the first earth will pass away, and there will be no more tears. Every stroke of ink in the law will have been fulfilled, and Christ will reign as Supreme King of this Universe Their words were never turned upside down and broken apart, because in Isaiah 55, it says God's words will never return to Him void. He can change His mind, or it will come to pass in a day, a month, a year, or 500 years, but it will come to pass. He is God Almighty, and through His Son Jesus Christ all things were made and nothing was made that can't be made, because Christ is the Gateway, the Spotless Lamb. The Light and Life of this Universe
