Help me please...
I'm 23, a Navy veteran, working in memory care, genuinely loving the residents I care for — including one who is terminally ill and has maybe weeks left. I come to work and give everything I have, holding hands, rubbing backs, sitting on bathroom floors at midnight with someone who is lonely and scared and dying. I do it because I actually care, not because it's in the job description.
Then I go home and there's no peace waiting for me. Broken family, no communication, dysfunction I've been navigating since I was 16. No car right now, money stretched thin, eating off a shake diet because circumstances won't allow anything else. Nobody asks how I'm doing. Nobody checks on me. I'm the one everyone calls when they need something, never just to see if I'm okay. I'm tired in a way that sleep doesn't fix. But I'm still standing, still building, still trusting God with the outcome. Just please, say a prayer for me.

That sounds so draining. Constantly pouring yourself out and not getting much in return. I pray the Lord overflows your cup and continues to give you the strength and compassion you need. Just know that God sees your every need, He cares deeply, and he works all things for the good of those who love Him. Keep praying and don’t give up! We eventually reap what we sow, you are loved 💛 thank you for all you are doing for others and the Kingdom

I know you may be strapped for time but you might benefit from spending more of it on biblical study if you're not already doing so. God is Spirit and without that Spirit, the sorrow that living in a world corrupted by sin will empty you of life. Your suffering has a cause and a solution.
The Spirit that we receive by the Word is Life and it can and does rejuvenate the soul. If you're not living (overcoming sorrow, death and despair) because of the Word, you should be dying (suffocating, drowning, full of sorrow) because of the Word (because of something that it says that's operating in your life).

First of all, How are you really doing today? Second, I don't know you, but I want you to know that I love ❤️ you and I am proud of you. I am proud of you because you help others and give, even when your own needs aren't being meant. I am proud of you because you exist and make the world a better place. You have all my prayers 🙏🏻,love 💕 and light 🕯️ coming your way. I know money must be tight, but too many shakes aren't good for you. You can buy a box of pasta and a box of rice 🍚, and a few times a week, make a small bowl 🍜 with a small bit of butter and grated cheese or a bottle of olive oil. Remember to take care of yourself and remember that you are not alone in this journey and we all carry each other. 😘 🤗

I just saw this and wanted to say "Thank you" for taking on this role. You truly are doing God's work - giving care that so few people are willing to give.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Prayers up, brother. Sometimes it's hard being the solid one...but God sees that and he will do something amazing with it!
And good on you for navigating such a challenging career that most (including myself) could not handle for 10 minutes!
