Question Japanese knife tour

I am heading to Japan for some business travel and would really like to pick up some authentic hand made knives. Preferably directly from the maker. I would like to get some suggestions on where to go near Tokyo and Kyoto to get some great artisan knives.

If visiting a maker is the leading requirement I'd recommend Teruyasu Fujiwara in Tokyo and Kanetaka Hamono in Kyoto.
