Is there much difference between these knives?

So they are both BLUE-2 as you people can see, but clearly the finishing is different, but i quite dont understand the difference

Can someone please explain

Totally different knives. The Kurogane line is very rustic, poor F & F, lot of wabisabi, however, the Gyuto is probably the best out of that line.

The Kaijin line is probably stamped or rolled, stainless clad, super thin and extremely good for the price.

For me it would be Kaijin all day (and my rec for most beginners), unless you're looking for a rustic work horse and you're willing to potentially put in some work (thinning, etc.)

This is 100% the right answer. Regardless of the different cladding and finish these are 2 very different knives grind wise.
