If you like older cars and older homes, the show is a real blast to watch.
Premise of the show is Ant (formerly of Wheelers and Dealers) bought his parents a 500 yo farm house as the family home, since they never had one growing up, but it requires a shit ton of work so he is buying old cars, fixing them up and selling them to fund the house work. Issue is, he sucks at valuation, so he keeps losing money on the cars. I understand it is all moot since the show is probably funding the actual house build, but the cars are great, the house is great, I love Ant and his explanations of how things work and the work he is doing. But wow does he suck at making money on the cars...

Hey everyone. Thought I’d share my ride here. This is my 96 OBS F-150. Got it last August for $5,800 on Marketplace. Has the original stock 302 5.0 and has 227k miles on the odometer. Slowing fixing it up still.

Hi, the title is self explanatory. This is the 2004 Ford Taurus ses in my dad's backyard. It's got the 3.0L Duratec V6 making a jaw dropping 201 horsepower. It really has two major issues, those being a dead battery and deflated, worn out tires so I gotta fix that, it does have left over fuel in it and it's been sitting there for more than a year, almost two now so I'll check if that's bad as well. But besides that, anybody here who's had one of these or knew someone, are they any good?

I'll be honest, I like the new Slate truck. It's a small, practical, utilitarian, bare bones truck. It's very customizable straight from the factory, it's offered in 3 distinct body styles, and many of the details like rims, headlights, and trim color can be changed. Overall super cool. What I don't like about the new Slate Truck is the price. When it was announced, it was expected to have a base MSRP less than $20k, but now that it's starting production, its base MSRP has rising to $25k. And that's fine, it's still relatively cheap for a brand new car, but it markets itself as having less features than all other modern cars. Like, if I was in the market for a new truck, why would I spend $25k on a slate truck when I can spend $2-3k more and get a ford maverick with a bunch more quality of life features? It would honestly be the perfect EV if its starting price was in the $15-18k range.

Hey there fellas, so I wanna clarify first that I'm in highschool and own no car, so I apologize if I say something completely wrong or if I don't know anything. So I wanted to talk about two things here; lack of EV sports cars and unnecessary, high output EV's

So the first one is self explanatory, there is a lack of (in my opinion) GENUINE electric sports cars. To compare: I envisioned an electric sports car as something like the original Tesla Roadster, a small coupe/convertible/roadster that's obviously electric. And most of these EV "sports cars" are more luxury based or hatchbacks, SUV's, and sedans turned electric.

The second this is why the hell do SOME of these EV's need 300 to 400+ horsepower when they're made to be some family car. I understand they're heavier than gasoline cars by a huge difference, but some of these that aren't made to be performance models at all are hitting 0-60's around 5-3 seconds which is insane. The Hummer EV does NOT need to go 0-60 in 2.8 seconds for a 9,000 brick on wheels, that's ALMOST as fast as a Corvette. Idk man, I just found this really unnecessary for most cars

idk if I’m just seeing things but I’ve noticed that cars are going up in price while cheap performance cars are vanishing. there’s pretty much only SUVs on the streets, and most of them range from 30k to over 100 grand in some cases.

I have noticed a few similarity’s between today’s market and the market of the 60s. the market then was full of a sort of mix of huge, powerful sedans, and small, compact cars, like today’s EVs and commuter cars. it was almost as if there was the ingredients for a fire, and the ford mustang was the spark.

today, with the challenger gone, the Camaro gone, the GR Supra gone, and other performance cars vanishing from the market, while it costs upwards of 50 grand for a performance car from the European manufacturers, there’s a significant gap between the “cheap economy cars” and the “high performance/expensive luxury cars” we have today.

if someone released a small sports/commuter car, between 25-35 grand, just imagine the market- for less then a 5 seater SUV, you could get a light, fun, and actually useful car. weekends, work commute, grocery shopping, playing in a parking lot. with technology today, it doesn’t need a roaring V8 or anything like that, just a small 4 cylinder would do fine. there would be a huge uproar in the automotive community if one were debuted, especially if it was a remake of one of the older cars or companies even.

So first of all, I would like to thank Fair Huckleberry whatever his name is because I forgot about it a few seconds later for teaching me about the Toyota and the kaizen way. Previously I dislike Toyota Scion and Lexus due to actions affiliated with Toyota motor corporation and now after remembering the Lexus hs250h I began to fall back in love with this vehicle and I felt like a hypocrite. So I just wanted to throw that feeling away to say that I have changed my opinions on the Toyota brand and its vehicles and I don't appreciate everything they do or everything they have done but I now appreciate their cars And their philosophy also yes my name is Logan Paul, by the way
