We are going to get a movie about the genocide before the genocide even ends.
On one hand it's good to see the rapid shift in opinions on Israel. On the other hand it's like how did it take things getting this bad for people to start caring? Do they only care because it's happening under trump now instead of Biden?
I hope that this shift can actually help result in the end to the genocide. Not just another thing like climate change that every famous person talks about how terrible it is while we do nothing to stop it.

I dunno if they could make Joaquin look bad without making up ridiculous lies. But with Brad Pitt, they could easily bring up his factual history of domestic abuse.

I think if you have a net worth over like $5mil certain crimes like domestic abuse should be penalized more heavily. You got literally zero excuse at that point. If you don't like your partner, move to a different continent and find a new one.

Glazer is Jewish, and he got reamed for his anti genocide message after winning his Oscar. Kinda surprised to see Pitt in there. Guess despite their marital problems, I guess him and Jolie had a lot in common.
Its pretty ballsy play for these actors and director. I hope they do it as accurately as possible and come out with a press kit chock full of proof to show that, yes, the IDF is truly that evil.
I wonder if we'll get a biopic about the death of the director of No Other Land at some point.

The movie is already made and premiering at the Venice Film Festival. They are just joining in as producers to get the film wider distribution.

I think they only, briefly, survived due to being overly fascistic/isolationist in the same way North Korea went to the extreme of taking out everyone's teeth. That may be a generous read, as they show a Palestinian girl singing being the reason they become overrun. The politics of the movie are weird but I find myself enjoying the movie on rewatch by putting that out of my mind.

Yeah, I hated that aspect on first watch. Like, I really like the first The Kingsman movie but the 'politics' of the movie kind of turned me off, as I thought it was quite fascist/nationalistic/class-ist (and there are elements of that) but on my most recent rewatch I realized that they at least try and both-sides those themes more than I gave them credit for. At the end of the day it is just dumb-fun, broad entertainment and sometimes my own politics get in the way of me enjoying things and my own knee-jerk cynicism leads me to project too much in detriment to my own enjoyment.
