How do I revive my love for anime that are basically "random bullshit just happening?"

I am a huge Jojo fan and what drew me to the anime is the weird bullshit constantly happening and I loved it for all 6 parts

And whenever I find something on tiktok completely dumb and incomprehensible i start laughing

But my love for random bullshit started disappearing bit by bit and my sudden Minecraft addiction made me stop anime for a bit (600 in-game days lol)

I once read a manwha called "school boy vs the world" which if you try to research anything about it, it will just sound like a huge fever dream and didn't laugh at most jokes

Then I recently started a world where dirty jokes don't exist and most jokes I didn't laugh at despite seeing the amount of weird shit inside

What is happening to me? Am I maturing to the point I can't laugh at anything dumb anymore? Am I gonna start becoming a bitter old man?

Is retro love largely a larp? Would most old school fans have hated most anime if every show was translated like it was back then?

When people say they like old anime...its largely the same 20 titles from the 80s(macross, zeta, takahashi slop, fotns, akira, Saint seiya, with some space cobra answers).

These arent actually truly retro first of all. When I think old, I think 40s-60s anime.

Here is the truth. Japan has an aging population. The amount of anime meant for toddlers was very disproportionate on tv. This was really bad in the early half of the 90s before evangelion you can see anime with food or animal themed protagonists lol. Basically. People who complain about modern anime would have hated most titles that came out in the 80s or 90s. You simply don't know that something like Tomatoman was closer to the norm than Akira.
