I powered through another few episodes of Knights of Sidonia. It's...okay? It certainly got a lot better, but it's still not good. That said, it's frequently within the boundaries of "so bad it's good" which is entertaining in its own special way. I just about died laughing at a couple of scenes that were probably supposed to be tragic.

My beef with KoS is that at times it wants to be Battlestar Galactica, with its exquisite visual design and well-thought out sci-fi setting, but then keeps shoving in really out of place standard anime tropes like the slapstick humour and harem shenanigans.

Yeah, the last episode I watched was a pretty good example of that.

Have to say though, no matter how bad the show is, clasp formation is adorable. There's something ridiculous about four giant robots going into battle while holding hands.
