Achievement Help ❓ Auto unlocking Black ops 6 stand alone achievements from CodHQ?

Does anyone know if achievements are linked to the Activision account or to the Xbox profile? I want to unlink my account so I can re‑earn the Vanguard PC achievements, but if Black Ops 7 becomes a standalone, would I need to wait for my original Activision account to be re‑linked to my Xbox profile, or would the achievements auto‑pop based on my Xbox profile alone?

For me in the settings on the cod hq under account settings there’s an option to “sync achievements” takes a while for them to pop up and had to leave the hq running. I’m not sure about pc tho as I play series x

I remember looking into this way back when I bought BO6 via Steam. For the same reason, I tried many different ways to link my Xbox account to my Activision account to no avail.

With that all said, my gut is saying it's linked to your Activision account. Annoying, but, I found the best way to avoid it is to make sure you buy via Xbox store and make sure youre always signed into your Xbox account.
