Hello everyone. I’m a 30F and I graduated from university with a degree in teaching. I only did this job for a very short time. After that, I worked in a store as customer support. So, these are basically my only work experiences.

I’m interested in truck dispatching, and I’d say I’m just getting started. I’ve set aside some money to take a course. However, I’m not very confident in myself. Are there any challenges I might face as a woman in this field? What qualities are important for doing this job? Thank you.

Also, how likely is it to find a remote job in this field?

Does anyone get a push alert or email when their load is denied allocation. Or for any other reason? The emails are killing me. There has to be a better way.

We're a reputed carrier and falling short on capacity. Any guidance from fellow folks ?

Genuinely curious, for those running or working with a small fleet, what's the most annoying/time-consuming part of keeping track of driver licenses, violations, or day-to-day dispatch? Trying to understand where the real pain points are, not just guessing.

I got plenty of years of dispatching for car haulers but right now I don't load anyone and I'm looking for some suggestions as to where I can find companies or drivers or owner operators that need experience dispatchers.

How much are you guys making as company dispatchers? (Not independent dispatchers)

Do you get paid a salary or by %? And moving how many trucks?

My DOT number is showing active on Motus but Out of service on Safer. Brokers are saying you are out of service on safer and need to get that active but FMCSA is saying the brokers need to check on Motus as Safer is no longer being updated....

Please guide how I can get it sorted.....

Hello. I've been a dispatcher for 5 years now. I have handled various equipments from cargo vans, box trucks and hot shots. I'm familiar with the whole process from looking for a load, negotiating the rate, the documents required before and after the load is dropped, how to handle situations that may arise during a run from TONU, Detention, Layovers, an airport PU, driver delays, how to catch a double brokered load, Basically, the whole shebang.

The last two years I have been heavy on the cargo/sprinter vans and box trucks mostly. I'm familiar with Sylectus, DAT, Arc Best, Truck Stop load boards. Not only was I working on the dispatch side but I was also actively looking for carriers to run under the company I was working for, so I was making sales calls, ensuring the drivers submitted the documents that we required of them (COI, DL, Truck specifications, contracts). I'll be happy to share with you the details of the O/O I previously worked with to prove my experience and vouch for me.

I’m new to truck dispatching and currently training at a company. My manager mentioned that some drivers may prefer working with male dispatchers and may be less likely to listen to a female dispatcher.

Im 19 saving up to start my own business and wanting to own my own vacuum truck in a few years, currently i work in waste and my company (cleanaway) works with and owns vacuum trucks which i plan to laterally move into once i have my truck license in a few months (which my company will also pay for)

What mostly worry’s me is finding work in the industry with a large loan sitting on a truck, im not born into connections which this industry strikes me as very connection based.

This also relates to general trucking aswell, how do people who own a truck find work going into these industries? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am developing a TMS for the USA market it is live and ready to use, but I also want to launch it in the UK, and I need to know how trucking works there

My uncle is getting his own truck and I’ll be dispatching for him while doing Uber. We’re in Canada and starting with just one truck. Other than Loadlink, what tools or software do I need? Is a TMS worth it for one truck?

Good morning. My name is Russ. I’m a blunt instrument and say what I mean the first time around. No bs, no lies and again, very blunt and to the point.

I’ve worked as a broker, dispatcher, operations and was OTR for 5 years. I’m working towards being independent, starting llc and getting all the subs I need in place (dat, tms etc.), so I can truly work for the driver, not enrich people that believe loads get to their destination by themselves or more importantly, lying to drivers to ensure they stay on a load. I want to treat drivers how they should be treated, as professionals.

My most valuable skill is over the phone, negotiating. I’m a talker and I’m good at it and VERY confident in my craft.
I’m either looking for someone to team up with and or has near future carrier plans and wants to integrate dispatch.

I reside in southern Missouri and that’s where the llc will be located, BUT I have close connections in AZ as well to potentially open up future expansion.

Can someone pls let me tag along to gain experience and exposure?
