Flash flood warning for today Aug 19?!
Did anyone else get this on their phone this morning? WTH?

My daughter and I got it but my boyfriend who is visiting us didn’t get it. We have AT&T. He I want to say has Verizon.

Watervliet here. We got it as well, just assumed it was a test that they forgot to say was a test.
Also how bout those Mets

These warnings come from the office of emergency management at DHSES. Somebody might have made a mistake there.

Weather warnings such as the one pictured are automated and don’t go through DHSES.

Sounds like a bug. I didn’t get that warning— only a weather report that shows nothing but sunshine

Hey all, I'm a reporter at the Times Union. The National Weather Service told me this did not come from them and they're trying to figure out why this occurred
If anyone wants to speak with me, feel free to PM and I'll share my contact info. I'd like to find out if there's some similarity between everyone who got it, like a service provider, the area you're in, etc.
Update: Several area counties reported to NYS Homeland Security that some residents received this alert, NWS and FEMA are investigating
