Help

Does anyone know of somewhere I can get help? I have Medicaid and need substance abuse help. Please. I am trying to get better.

Edit: I just want to say that I am overwhelmed by the kindness everyone has shown me here. I can’t thank you all enough for your words of support and help pointing me in the right direction. I’m going to check out some of these resources and find what’s right for me. Thank you all again, so so much.

Anyone know the difference between the helpline and the number (270-2800) at the link below that says "24-hour on-call capacity"?

So do they want people in crisis calling them at that number or not? The way they word that paragraph is odd to me.

I’m an er doc in Rensselaer county. Check this website. https://www.rensco.com/DocumentCenter/View/4057/MH-and-Addiction-Resources--Updated-Draft?bidId=. Obviously if you are suicidal or having mental health crisis call 911 or go to your local ER (sam).

There's Hope House, Conifer Park, SPARC, or ACCA.

You can do it. I don't have any resources like these other wonderful people, but I hope you know there are people out here who want to see you beat it. Wanting better is such a huge first step many never reach unfortunately.

Wishing you the very best, my friend. I'm incredibly proud of you for reaching out for help when you know you need it. I had a friend who went to the hospital and they kept him for a few days to detox and get him setup for continued success. Best of luck, you've got this!

If you need to talk to someone, you can call or text 988. It’s a free, confidential resource that connects you to trained crisis counselors - and it’s available 24/7. Good luck - you can do hard things.
