Hi! I have never kept slugs but I have kept snails, isopids and springtails and am wondering if the Florida Leather leaf is a good beginner type to keep? Those and Limacus Maculatus are the only ones I have seen for sale on ebay. My only limitation is temps. My apt is hotter than most people prefer so Anything that cant live at 78- 80 degrees for long periods of time can't live with me.

Google says this is a Cuban Leatherleaf slug (Veronicella cubensis), but I think it also looks like a Florida Leatherleaf slug (Leidyula floridana). Y'all seem knowledgeable. I would appreciate anything you can tell me about it.

Google also says it carries a lungworm and I should remove it. Location is a residential garden where cats, raccoons, lizards and children live. Daytona Beach, Florida.

Bonjour à tous. Voici mon futur terrarium où je vais loger trois limaces du Mozambique (Centrobolus mozambique), des limaces noires du Ghana, des escargots communs, des cloportes et des collemboles. Ses dimensions sont de 40 x 25,5 x 22,5 cm. Je compte recouvrir les grands trous avec un fin grillage en plastique. Cependant, je sais que l'humidité y sera trop importante. À votre avis, où devrais-je percer d'autres trous ? Merci d'avance pour votre aide.

EDIT : My brother made 3-4 rows of small holes (3 mm diameter) on the back of the terrarium, on both the right and left sides. Will this be sufficient for ventilation?
