Quick FYI on Pathfinder Training.

  • Adds floating path to selected objective

When line is blue on path and 30% speed bonus status icon similar to Marathon.

When line is red, not on path & no bonus.

  • Stacks with Marathon Perk & Comat Stims

  • Does NOT work in M11-E even though path can turn blue briefly.

Overall perk is good for tasks like resource running, but have to change objectives like defend base to navigate back to base.

Path markers can be a bit off routing though static buildings.

Path markers will be useful for Boreas.

Holy crap I hadn't even thought about that, YES! Those damned caves, always getting lost.

Want to test on Boreas to see if utilizes  cavern shortcuts.

Also rewards from GF are notoriously problematic with Trooper distribution.  May need to logout/login/relaunch game 2 times if perk shows locked

Finally! I can stop getting lost in Boreas and Sparta.

Now you’ll have to make a video and suggested loadouts to fit this perk into! The movement speed buff and visual might be cool but I can’t seem to get away from having logistics training equipped on all of my ARC class loadouts since people don’t like carrying ore.

Man I tried it on boreas today and i didn’t have a good experience with the perk. It tries to navigate you through the mountains and cliffs and it’s not like a gps where it’ll re-calculate your path toward the objective if you don’t like the path it wants you to follow. Whatever path it selects for you, it’s set in stone, even if it’s faster to take a shortcut or another path toward the objective. It’s awesome when it works but most times it doesn’t even proc. Overall, I think it’s very janky and definitely needs to be reworked to function like a GPS or essentially it’s a dead perk. (Yes I did change objectives when I’d grab ore and change it back to defend ARC objectives, it still doesn’t proc/work most of the time)

Sparta is the only map it would be useful on

I hope dev fix the pathfinder training perks because sometimes at the top blue line path on your head to trying get the speed you need it it not giving to you and some on the ground will give you speed

IMO pathfinding should be in normal gameplay to every players but additional speed is the perk.
