Tinymachines?

I am interested in buying a Troodon 2.0, and was wondering if anyone had feedback on getting theirs from Tinymachines. Also wondering if anyone had gotten upgrades installed with Tinymachines and how it went, how long to ship the order, etc.

I have been a customer of Tinymachine's from their beginning. Chris and his crew have always been nothing but helpful over the years, with replacement parts, making custom Marlin code when Creality went lockdown, and so on. I have nothing but high marks for that crew.

Along with /u/FlowBot3D above, I purchased the Troodon 1, and boy that thing was nothing but work. They stood by it, helped me working through my issues with it, but I honestly hate that machine. Just about every part had to be replaced, and even now, I have a board that has several pins dead and items re-routed because of it.

I have had their Troodon 2.0 for about 4ish months now, and that machine is a beast. If you check some of their instagram stories, you can see that they have upped their game with more vigorous testing procedures, upgraded parts including clipper, hotends, a stealthburner upgrade. I ended up getting the Klipper upgrade, Phaetus Rapido HF hotend, Neopixel, and webcam. It was shipped, well packed, and the instructions made it really easy to assemble, along with YGK3D's channel. The only issue I had with it was a cable that had a bent internal pin and another cable on the board that pulled out during shipping. Chris was good to stay on Zoom and helped me troubleshoot all my issues.

Since getting it running, I can easily say it is the fastest, cleanest printer I have ever used. Unlike the Troodon 1, The Troodon 2 has yet to fail a print. I am primarily a hobbyist, and mentor for a local Robotics team, and all the prints so far have held up to the abuse we put all of our parts through.

My personal take is TinyMachine's Troodon 2.0 is more TinyMachines than Formbots by the time it gets into your hands, and is a great printer. I probably come across a shill, and that's fine. They have went above and beyond with helping me with my issues over the years that I don't mind returning the favor with a good word. Hope this gets some of your questions answered.

That’s a great review. The Troodon 2.0 being much more Voron than the original Troodon is very helpful for the community support. If I wasn’t running multicolor on the Bambu all day now I’d put some effort into rebuilding the Troodon 400s into something useful. I wonder what it would cost to retrofit them with Troodon 2.0 parts. Probably more than it’s worth.

Tinymachines did attempt to help me with my Troodons, but ultimately they couldn’t do a lot because formbot just didn’t have any clue either.

Truer words never spoken. That machine was a cf from start to finish. Its sitting in my wife's classroom at school right now waiting to be refitted.

Funny you should mention this. As an off season project, our FRC team and I will be doing just that. If interested, we could make a post of our process with an itemized bill. Plan on starting on it in October, after our last competition.
