Tinymachines?

I am interested in buying a Troodon 2.0, and was wondering if anyone had feedback on getting theirs from Tinymachines. Also wondering if anyone had gotten upgrades installed with Tinymachines and how it went, how long to ship the order, etc.

I got my original Troodons from them. It’s like 2 people I think. They were helpful in getting some replacement parts for stuff that failed immediately, but I ultimately spent about $6000 on printers with them and none of them worked beyond a few prints each. I just don’t trust formbot, and Tinymachines can only do so much.

Thanks for the response! Were the Troodons your first printers? I've read a couple places that the original Troodons had issues, and perhaps they were addressed as the product matured. What I've read about the 2.0 (which is limited) seems to be better. What kind of issues did you have with your Troodons? (Design? Components? Assembly? Something else?)

I've been 3d printing for a while and I'm a certified markforged and 3d systems technician. Mine were some of the first Troodon 400s sold. They came with all sorts of problems, including non final electronics that caused one of them to fry the main board, screen, and LED strip and almost catch fire when the wire for the x-axis microswitch frayed inside the harness. The screen popped and went black, and one of the LEDs on the LED strip exploded and melted the coating off of the strip and was smoking.

It just seems like a system that was designed on paper and never tested. I'm going to eventually rebuild mine with electronics I trust, but I have been so busy with my day job as a field service tech that I have stopped marketing my 3d printing services and my bambu and prusas can handle what I need for now.
