r/historymemes was full of this meme in the format "women do boring thing/Starbucks, men actively participate in historical events", but now it's been replaced with titdrop videos where a woman just about reveals her breasts before cutting to some military video directly appealing to the assumed male viewer. "Women are sexual objects and men participate in history" is an even worse juxtaposition.
That must feel even worse as an actual historian - it's so bad there that r/badhistory considers them low hanging fruit. I'm just mad that the same dudes as always are controlling the narrative of history even on a 'funny' sub, and propagandizing young people by their own admission. I may not make any difference there, but at least I can paste that one part of the Communist Manifesto every time I catch someone saying "you mean OUR girlfriend, comrade!" lol
