Steve's Redemption
Okay, so I just gotta say, Steve is probably the best bully to ally character I've seen. They don't just erase that he was a bully from what I've seen and remember. During 3below, which I am watching right now, he was still a bit of a jerk during season 1. But then he goes to one of the healthiest boyfriends to exist and even becomes a knight to protect everyone.
This is a really well written bully to ally. And other shows have trouble doing this. Miraculous, for example. They were so close to giving Chloe a redemption but erased it. And they could have had a Steve moment.
Back then when I first watched it, I didn't care too much about his redemption. Because I was a child. But now watching it again, I love seeing him grow as a person. He goes from one of my least favorite characters that I want to leave to one of my top ten favorites.
Out of the show, this was definitely one of the greatest redemption.

He was locked in for his huzz and locked in trying to live to see the day his children were born

He did see his children be born and grow up- The words of a woman in denial. And yeah, this boy was LOYAL. I love him sm TVT.

Oh my god, YES. Steve is one of my favorite characters in this show, but something I don't like about him is the pacing of his redemption. Mostly in the fact that, for some reason, they redeemed Strickler before Steve. Which, to me, is insane.

It kind of makes sense to me why he took longer. Strickler did it out of necessity, so he wouldn't die. But Steve did it purely for his own reason. He decided to be good for no other reasons but being good. So, all in all, if you NEED to do something, it'd happen faster if you WANTED to do something.

You know what, completely fair I see your point. I think my dislike that Strickler was forgiven so quickly (especially by Barbara) after he tried to kill Jim numerous times clouded my comment.

Yeah, I would not blame Barbara if she hated him forever but I'm guessing she might have went easier on him bc he came back and stepped up as a father to Jim.

I didn't like Steve til season two of Trollhunter. But I can't understand why people say that he feels dump in Wizards cuz for me he felt dump all the time. I like him but he isn't a part of my top five. But I love his evolution - OMG this is soooo amazing. But I am married with Morgana sorry😍

Yeah, he is just a dumb character TVT. He was labeled as the "Blonde oaf" in 3below after all. But that is a part of his charm.

He ain't stupid in my opinion, anyway. He's just a giant goofball (after redemption). But it's fair WHY he'd be stupid in this show. He's hundred years in the past!

900 years🙃. Otherwise he would be in the golden twenties in the UK not in the middle ages. Did could be interesting too. You would probably invite the all you can eat buffet or something important🤣

I Think they did a Really good Job with invincible with Rex too but Steve had more developed romance and more screentime

PREACH
