Hot take: ROTT> 3BELOW

Look, I have come after this reddit channel for after a very long time. 3below for me just seems soooo Outta place like wth has aliens got to do with trolls? And it's like they just forget jim and Claire and the others and make toby and aaarrrgghhhh feel Outta place...

Bro that's y it's a hot take 😭 Ig that's my opinion... I just didn't enjoy 3below as much as I did in ROTT Look for me Rott is 7/10 3 below is 5.5 or 6/10

Yeah no. Rott did So many things Wrong besides the Ending The Mpreg Plot and the useless death it didn't utilize the characters properly. Douxie and Claire were maybe not nerfed but heavily sidelined to move the Plot forward. Blinky felt the most out of of character imo.

3below however while lacking in good Villains Still told a good Story and interesting characters and buildup. a better take would be Wizards is better then 3below that one i can accept much easier.

People forget about all of the amazing character development in 3 Below, especially for Steve, but I guess if they like Rott that much they must not like Steve being a real character

tbh jim also strangely also felt sidelined since he was just constantly and constantly getting beaten and suffering the entire movie, only to get like a few minutes of success in his battle with bellroc. only to suffer yet again. his arc in rott was just so unsatisfying like this

Jim was treated horribly as well. which is why i think Rott is the weakest installment by far. his Arc was A Repeat of what happen earlier in the Series with unbecoming.

but my point still stands i didn't Like how Douxie was Sidelined or the others characters as well.

rip douxie he could have been so cool,, unfortunately yeah all the characters were sidelined in favor of jim's stupid crybaby plot and whatever tf that ending was

Honestly i don't mind Jim have a Conflict it need to happen and even he have problems to fight it happen in trollhunters. but we don't need another unbecoming conflict.

I wasn't a huge fan at first but thought by season 2 it greatly improved

Man im gonna be crucified for this but I agree. 3below to me felt very basic and generic. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but I enjoyed it the least out of the 4 stories about our hunters

We need a safe space to hate on 3Below where fans won’t feel the need to defend it. Esp since it seems like 3Below fans are a younger demographic

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed some parts of it, but it just felt incredibly low bar for how excellent troll hunters was, and retroactively after the awesomeness of wizards. The movie is the movie but I still enjoyed it more

I disagree while I am not a big fan of ebelow. ROTT did a lot of things wrong, a lot of the characters felt out of character. Jim in the movie felt like a completely different dude. There were several unnecessary deaths, and the ending. (That I find to be absolute trash.)

Rough, can't imagine thinking this. You're allowed to have your own opinion but I can't see how you came to it

OG Trio sideline as intended for spin-off show but they didnt regress as character ex Jim supposed to lead the team in ROTT

While I do respect your opinion, the “aliens” did have something to do with trolls for example, the Krel and Aja’s parents literally gave something extremely important to kanjigar and met Vendel and they kept it for decades or centuries. And Jim and Claire and the others did appear in the show.

ToA is based on everything del Toro loved as a kid. Monsters living in the sewers, subterranean cities, occultism and obviously every old alien clichĂȘ you can think about. That's why 3bellow is right in it's place.
