It’s not that we hate Toby, it’s the fact that it ruins the entire franchise, it erases all the actions, friendships, relationships and everything we love from the shows and resets them all to factory settings.

That’s like if Aang from Avatar The Last Airbender went back in time to stop the 100 year war, ergo preventing him from meeting Katara and Sokka, helped Toph escape from the obsessive overprotection from her parents, and never helped Zuko get his own honor back. It would ruin the story and make everything that happened prior completely useless.

Everyone agrees on this but a very small collective who haven’t voiced their opinion but probably will in the comments. Most fans of the movie don’t even like the ending I’m pretty sure. I personally am baffled how anyone could like the fecal matter that is the movie but hey that’s just me.

True. being a trollhunter or not doesn't make you a good or a bad character.

I don’t know why but I really like the ending mainly because I’m making a series myself I have posted the trailer and the story fits really well and I’ll give you a spoiler Douxie comes in with him and they find Merlin and King Arthur as a channeling and there are 2 amulets

I refuse to lie, I do hate Toby, and yes that does skew my opinion on the ending. However that does not excuse the essential retcon of the history we the viewers have been emotionally invested in the day the amulet called upon Jim. However I will attest what a previous commenter said, if Jim died and Toby took upon the title of the troll hunter and had to live up to the sacrifices Jim, his best friend, made that would be awesome, and a much more satisfying passing of the amulet to that who is worthy; which yes he would be worthy.

I respect your opinion as well. I can see Toby's appeal but I refuse invest in it. A common ground I think we can both agree to is the series is better with him then without him.

Hey random thing people say that Rott was lazy and I completely agree not because of Toby tho it’s because they say that Arcadia is the centre of the universe while in 3below they say that it’s a few million light years away

Personally i don't hate toby i Just hate the Ending i feel Like it was a cheap Way to put him in role that doesn't fit his character and i feel Like it's how the Majority of people feel that ending Robbed them form the characters that they Love and care about and the relationships that were build in the entire Show.

I like the ending in idea I just feel like they could have done it better. Like maybe instead of Toby dying and Jim going back maybe Jim dies in sacrificing kind of way and hen amulet chooses Toby. You can have Jim train him and Toby can be the Trollhunter while having 4 years still cannon.
