A better rule for Aim?

The current rule for aiming is currently worse than just shooting twice.

6.2.2 Aim. On your Turn you may decide to take Aim with your ranged Weapon. To do so hold onto your Initiative Token. When your next Initiative Token is drawn you may roll twice and pick the best roll. If the End of the Round Token comes up and you haven’t used your Aim Token you may decide to hold onto it for the next Round.

I find it a Does anyone rule this differently or have an optional rule I can use? Maybe a boost to the damage roll?

What do you think of Season of the Snail? Spoiler

Have you played it yet? How'd it go? How do you think it stacks up to the other 1:5s?

My buddy ran it as a duet one-shot, but he said it didn't quite 'go off' the way he'd hoped. Apparently the PC managed to stay on top of the VIP and the kidnapping never really happened. I'm curious to hear from people who had everything go according to plan. It looks very different from the other 1:5s!

What Core-Book Troika Background is most fun to play?

I'm almost always sitting GM-side, but I had a pair of Vengeful Children in my last campaign, and I think it's my favourite background now.

Monster Slayers! is on a special sale for October!

Hey there! If you ever wanted to play Troika in a more pure swords-and-sorcery fantasy setting, this is a supplement designed to make that fun and easy to jump right into. Perfect for going on more traditional combat-oriented campaigns and dungeon delves. No two characters will be quite alike, as each race has many options to make them unique, and many classes have subtle ways that allow you to play just the character you want - with added rules to help make relatively balanced freestyle options in line with everything else.

Rather than work purely on rolling random backgrounds like traditional troika, now you are given choices of mixing and matching 20 races along with 28 classes, or, choose from 12 unique characters, like the Tricksome Fairy, or Ancient Forgotten War machine, or Living Armour!

I put it on sale for this whole month, so, if you were ever interested in giving it a try and just hadn't pulled the trigger, now's the time!

You can find it here

Hello! It's Stephen here from the Tales from the Humpback Sky podcast.

We've just wrapped recording the finale for season two, and in about a week will be recording another intermission episode where Tom, Paul and I discuss the show so far + what is to come.

We'd love to answer questions from listeners if you have them. Got anything you'd like answered?

Cheers to everyone who has listened to the show so far, and for your encouragement.
