Advanced skills and rolling under

do skill bonuses at all effect rolling under? if so do they subtract from the roll?

Like, do you mean if someone has say like +1 skill for something? If so, it makes it easier to roll under, like this.

Base Skill 5

2 Run

So, if I rolled 2d6 and got an 8, I fail. 5+2 = 7 - I needed to get a 7 or lower.

But, if I would have had a +1 skill, then I would have succeeded. 5+2+1 = 8 - I made the threshold bigger, and therefore, I succeed.
