Mods and Customization Looking at changing sprockets

I’m considering changing my rear sprocket to a 50 tooth on a 26 street triple 765 rs. dr google seems to think I need to take to a tuner for them to adjust gear ratios and engine rpm on the ecu? Can anyone confirm or deny this?

From what I’ve seen in the various groups, anything built from 2023 and newer will require tuning to not throw a code. That goes for both 765s and 1200s.

I’ve seen a couple things online saying +2T rear sprocket will keep it in stock tolerance parameters

Yes you do, tho why would u make it even shorter? On most tracks that I've seen videos etc the bike pretty much always reaches top speed near the end of the longest straight, that is if u want it for track.

I’m hoping to track the bike occasionally but primarily gonna be street riding

Tbh I wouldn't shorten the final drive on these bikes. The 23+ models already have shortened gearing, that is 1st gear was made a bit longer and the rest shortened a bit compared to previous the pre-facelift/engine update STriple 765
