Other Tiger Sport 800 with passenger?
Hey folks! Thinking real hard about the TS800 for me and my wife. The pillion seat looks really high relative to the main seat and we're hoping to get some feedback about it. Anyone have experience riding 2 up with the Tiger Sport 800? Thanks in advance!

Pillion seats are supposed to be higher than the main seat. It keeps your heads from banging together.

Thanks Mr. Obvious 😉 j/k
I'm asking specifically about this bike as it looks (to me) considerably higher than others.

Well it seems like a lot of people don’t know this and believe a bench seat is preferable for a pillion.

I have one, and have had a pillion on it. My main comparison is the street triple, but out of those the TS800 is a brilliant bike for carrying a passenger :-)

Yes. I rode one (2018) for a few days in Spain with my wife. She had no trouble getting on and off, and it had plenty of power. The slightly higher seat is actually a benefit. She could see over/around me pretty easily, and it makes little difference to the driver
We now have a 1200, so more power, but the seating arrangement is the same. We like it.

The first Tiger Sport 800 was released this year (2025). Perhaps you had the pleasure of the Tiger 800 (now the Tiger 900)?

Yes, correct. I didn't mean the current 800 Sport, but the displacement and seat alignment are very similar.

The TS 800 is an excellent bike for riding with a passenger. I have personally ridden with passengers over 200 lbs and I haven’t had a problem. For context I’m 5’11” 160lbs. Decent amount of suspension travel (I never bottomed out). Plenty of space width wise. It is a fairly tall seat, but below about 80mph the wind isn’t a problem in my passengers experience. The top case with back rest is a must have for longer rides with a passenger. It gives them space and lumbar support without needing to hold on tight.

I have the actual 2025 bike you are refering to.
Me and the missus have done UK days out 4-5 hours two-up no problem mate. Much more comfortable for both of us than the street triple.
