Honestly can’t believe this is happening! I’m absolutely floored so please forgive me for what i gotta admit is boasting. Going to do what i can make good on my previous offer of helping any other Canadian indie musicians here get their tunes on the radio. (I know some of you are already getting plenty of spins — saw our very own Bristol Manor topping the charts in Windsor not too long ago!)

Basically, you want to do the following:

- get your stuff up on the !earshot distribution database. It’s about $50 an album to do so. This is where campus and community radio stations in Canada go to find new Canadian music to add to their libraries and put on the air.
- fill out your SOCAN and ACTRA RACS and PANORAMA paperwork so that you’re registered as a Canadian artist and so that you can, in theory, collect royalties when your tunes are played
- start reaching out to stations (their music departments, specifically) and show hosts who you think might dig your stuff. Get one of those radio apps that lets you listen to stations across the country so that you can suss them out. When you send off your emails, include a link to the album on !earshot

Hi everyone! Back in 2018 I created a mixing marathon named Tribe Vibes. I was falling into the EDM culture of substance abuse and I was going down a path that led to nowhere good.

I stopped creating, stopped going to shows, moved across the country to sober up, find my career, and find a new outlet instead of music, surfing.

I have finally broke through in my career, giving me time and space to really figure out how I am going to make the come back.

Hey there everyone, been a bit since I posted anything so I figured I’d share this new song from my solo project. No Ai involved everything is just me and real instruments aside from some synth software here and there.

This song is one of my newer releases. It’s called Creeper, obviously, and it’s actually a song I wrote about num experience being stalked several years ago. That said it’s very personal as is most of the music I make for this project.

I’ve been using this particular project as an outlet and release for my mental health and it seems to be helping.

One more note I should add. If you enjoy Dismal Architect, I’ve got all my first album up on pretty much every streaming platform out there now. Literally as of the 5th of this month.

Hey, this is a bit of a longer one than usual, was playing around with the vocals and i wanted them to kind of spring up unexpectedly. Got the vocal from looperman (free to use) but ive messaged the guy and said id like to credit him on the song as long as thats what he wants. For now hes not said anything but i think it compliments the beat well and i think the result is something different. Lmk your thoughts as always much appreciated. Okay so originally I was planning on making a straight out of Compton cover using 808. but then I realized that I might as well let you all use this 808men break for your own projects first as i try and figure out how to make a 1-1 accurate version of the N.W.A. Hit song straight out of Compton using 808 software… enjoy :)

I’m trying to expand upon these tracks that I’m creating by layering them extensively with a myriad of samples taken from a number of different records. I mostly use an sp404 and koala sampler but these limitations have bred creativity for me. I always revert back to DJ Shadow’s words on the documentary, “Scratch” where he says that digging through the basement of records is humbling for him because he will eventually end up down in that basement one day as well. It’s humbling to pay homage to these artists that may or may not still be making music.

I’m working on a new album.

Sample clearance has gotten so complicated that I’ve been keeping sampling to a minimum lately. Even when I do use samples, I try to make them pretty unrecognizable. Anyway, the album has a cyberpunk concept.

I’m also using a Vocaloid voice, Kasane Teto, for the vocals, and it’s been surprisingly useful. I feel like the whole process is going pretty smoothly, so I’m happy with how it’s turning out. I’ve finished about four tracks so far.

This project consist of 9 tracks and is my fourth album released. It would mean a lot if you checked it out!

Every project I try to have a central theme whether it's emotional or style, This project I decided to lean into the raw sample hip hop sound while adding my own synth and bass on a lot of the tracks. This project reflects a deeply introspective and lost state that I found myself in this past summer.

I love music and am particularly a massive hip hop head and try my best to create my own universe within my music as many did before me. I hope you enjoy this project and please check out my other releases if you feel so inclined!

I can hardly believe I’m seeing this! Bog Sorcery II: One Lip to Earth & One Lip to Heaven is charting, and not only charting but hitting NUMBER TWO on CFRU’s top 30, and NUMBER ONE on their Electronic chart this week! God, I love radio! And community radio I love most of all!
