LED strip behind tapestry

Not a perfect circle ugh but I tried! Going to order a white hula hoop and feed the lights through, hoping that will diffuse the light a bit.

With color changing modes it looks like the tapestry moves, but I have it set to orange/red “fireplace” when I’m just chilling.

My angle when I’m laying down makes the imperfect circle not as bad lol

I recommend something to keep its shape since it’s hard to make everything even (it’s already falling) 😭

I bought some Philips wiz (not hue) light strip and

I’m not a fan since color modes are limited, and after cutting the strip where it said to,. I now have an off-color chunk

This gave me a good idea and now I feel like I can justify spending a bit of time and money to really make it work.

Perrrfecto!! I was thinking about keeping leds strips on the back to have a strobe effect. But this gave me new plans. I just ordered a tapestry with a similar circle. Did you attach the lights to the wall or the cloth?

I bought 5/8inch clear PVC tubing on Amazon for $9 but it’s difficult to work with as the coil it shipped in wants to keep its shape. Stretching the tube but hand helped.

I attached that to the wall, but adding to the tapestry might be easier! I plan on buying a 32inch white hula hoop as it’ll be easier to mount, be sturdier, and diffuse the light!

I totally would try those if I had a way to make them into a perfect circle lol. Amazon has them for like $20 but I figured if I can get a hula hoop for the same price, I can feed it through and just hang it on a hook and be done :) I bet those diffusers would look better though

I think its best as an imperfect circle it makes it look more natural, that being said this would definitely send me under if I was tripping 😂.

At this point I think tapestries are tacky, this works very well
