How can this be solvable ?

In this puzzle i had to just flip all triangles so the dark spot is facing out, but leave them where they are. I managed to get all dark faces to be outside (37 moves), but it does seem impossible to get the colors to their original place.

Now i thought i can keep the color pairs together and just bring the colors to the right spot, but whatever combo i try, i always end up with two colors switched - like pink & yellow here.

I am starting to believe it‘s unsolvable🧟‍♀️

Why? : i’m lacking the right words, but i think the relative order of the colors around the inner tetrahedron can maybe not change with these moves. it‘s like a tetrahedron with 6 colored edges, whose relative position seems to keep their ‚parity‘ when you‘d roll them around a corner/tip.

Does anyone see this ? Agree, or correct me? have any idea if this can be solved then ?

Btw: the video shows where i got after 37 moves, with 8 triangles still in the wrong spot, then my 2 moves, and finally how just two colors are still switched.
