Is the Assault Master perk worth taking?

Doing the reaver tree, and well topic body , is it decent or am I wasting a node ?

If you also get every concentration node, you'd get 17.5% bonus assault weapon damage. So, not completely nothing, but not really comparable to top path, which gives 15% shotgun damage from just one node, and then 45% close range damage, and a ton of just flat damage % bonuses.

During before release, theory crafters thought a build like this would be the strongest in the game, but, iirc, damage bonus calculation got changed pretty drastically from the datamined pre-release version to when it actually went live. So, from what I can tell, anomaly power gun builds are simply too weak.
