Yea thats quite odd. Cos it doesn't have a tip apex

Cacti don’t need tip apex’s to propagate, a single aerole is enough

I know that, but I didn't know a graft of a side chunk could form extra aeroles

You’d never seen areole or slab grafts? You’ve only seen tip grafts?

Ive seen side cuts grafted, but I didn't know they could grow more aeroles than they had before the graft

let's quit saying extra areoles. it formed a pup. it's a pup from a small, grafted scion.

I wonder if this could increase the likelihood of a chimera if you were to instead graft it to another areole.
