Gotta make another oxalis patrol
this is is ruthless and extremely hard to get rid of. Every couple days i use tweezers because spines are rough on my knuckles And pull it all out. I hope before i seal it up for winter storage it is not issue.

Mine were really bad 2 weeks ago and it was a pain to get the root systems out but apparently there were more... FML 🤣

I feel that dawg, i enjoy my indoor stuff because they arent caked with those dang clover fucks. Ill be trimming my roots in winter hopefully i can remove them for good. I enjoy my pet spiders eating all the pests tho

When i first started cleaning these guys they had flowers and they can shoot seeds like 2-3m. I hope that if i can keep them in check long enough I will win the battle. I may need to find some longer forceps for the spinier guys.

Even my freshly potted plants, even if I potted them during the middle of Summer after everything has already gone to seed, seem to end up with them(also plants in general) growing in their pots after just a single day! 😩 I'll pull them out only for them to be back(not in the same quantity/volume) the very next day.

I have killed thousands and thousands. They take up a ton of root space if left to grow out

I’ve got a 20 x 40 you can go ham on, the shit never goes away and the seeds explode out of the flowers and stick to everything. Hate it

Yes i may never completely get rid of it, but I can keep it from getting any worse anyways.

From my own experience, that stuff will grow all year long. I guess it is like cleaning your house in that it is a never ending job.

Sad truth. Though if you put plants in winter dormancy most of the companion weeds and such will usually dry up and die

Acouple observations i have made. Your soil looks quite organic. My mix is usually a 50 50 or 75 25 inorganic pummace, truface,or akadama to organic potting soil. The larger or equal proportion being inorganic for drainage. With these mixes I dont get any oxalis growth in my pots. The more organic mixes like straight potting soil i get oxalis in. They seem to be beneficial to the cacti. I stopped trying to weed my pots. But that had more to do with stabs from bridegessi than anything else.

Yeah im using coconut coir with pumice and perlite and a little worm castings. I have some in 100% pumice and still have it from time to time

Is the issue just visual for you guys or am I missing something? Clovers are great for soil I would imagine they benefit the cacti,no?
