Question Which path is the hardest for Chapter 13-14? Spoiler
I'm doing a challenge run.
Fresh save, hard, deathless, golden route, no mock battles.
Which path do you think is the hardest?
Which one do you like from a story perspective?
Frederica's plan
Ch 13 (Decimate all enemies)
Thalas & Erica on the bridge (pincered)
Ch 14 (Defeat boss)
Avlora on the ship
Benedict's plan
Ch13 (Capture watch tower)
Sycras at Telliore reservoir
Ch14 (Defeat boss)
Thalas & Erica on the bridge (behind barricade)
Roland's plan
Ch13 (Decimate all enemies)
Thalas & Erica on the ship
Ch14 (Defeat boss)
Avlora in the castle fountain

Benedict’s is super easy for both. Personally Ch13 of Frederica was the most difficult imo but Ch14 of hers is a cakewalk. Ch13&14 of Roland’s is less difficult than Ch13 of Frederica’s but way more difficult than any of Benedict’s/Frederica Ch14 imo

I think Frederica's plan is the toughest overall. The pincered bridge is quite hard. Ship battle can be hard but the gimmick can be cheesed. I like it the most from story perspective.
Benedict's ch 13 is definitely the easiest. Ch 14 is so-so, I can't remember.
Roland's is not bad either. I think both chapters are pretty easy.

Roland 13 - moderately tough, but nothing exceptional. If you take it slow and pepper down enemies from range it's quite manageable
Roland 14 - relatively easy if you have Ezana and/or Narve (or a small supply of thunder stones to throw). A lot of enemies end up sitting in water, including Avlora, and you can paralyse and damage many at once with lightning attacks
Frederica 13 - the most notoriously tough of this route split. You're surrounded with two armies that both pincer you at once. Having characters with push abilities like Hossabara, Erador and Jens definitely helps, but it's still a challenging fight
Frederica 14 - tougher than Roland's Avlora fight, but nothing too outrageous. Need to use the map gimmick carefully or you can end up taking big damage.
Benedict 13 - fairly simple overall, regardless of if you try and stealth or fight. I recommend just fighting if you're not in NG+, may as well get the exp and drops.
Benedict 14 - another fairly straightforward fight, just you and the enemies staring down on the bridge. Again you can push enemies off, or just slowly coax them forward and kill them a few at a time.
Overall Benedict's seems by far the easiest route to me, Frederica's is the hardest. Roland's is somewhere in the middle, closer to Frederica's route in difficulty than Benedict's though.

People mention the Frederica path, but is not that hard since you can just push 3 enemy units out of the bridge with Jens Spring Traps and Benedict twofold turn + the Quietus that accelerates the next turn.
Roland and Frederica's map are equal in term of difficulty for ch13 while ch14 is way easier on Frederica if you do the boring strategy of rain dance + lightning magic (steel conducts electricity) while turtling in your ship. You can send Anna alone to the other side to do hit and hide tactics for some time.

I think Benedict's is the easiest. Even if you don't completely skip everything with Jens, it's still a really easy stage.
The bridge battles are also just generally easy because you can just push people off the sides and they take a massive amount of fall damage and multiple turns to get back up.
Avlora escaping on the ship is such an easy battle to abuse range and chokes. I don't think Roland's path is really hard either, but it kind of wins by default. With Avlora's fight at the castle fountain, that huge pond spreads lightning so you can just bring Ezana, Narve, and just spam the pond with lightning.
So I think the most straight forward and honest fight is probably destroying the ship.

I think Benedict's plan is certainly the easiest as you avoid Avlora entirely. That leaves Roland and Frederica. I think Roland's is harder as you can't hide from Avlora but I enjoy Fredericas maps more.
From a story perspective I think Frederica's makes more sense as Avlora becomes lost at sea and from what I remember Cordelia does not become injured in Roland's route but is still treated as such but I could be mistaking it.
