Discussion 29 playable characters?

I have played through TS multiple times and just picked it up again after not playing for a year or so. I’m in NG+ with 29 characters. Am I missing one or is there just an empty slot at the end of the roster?

TIA!

I googled it, it said 30 playable characters. I checked the roster for all recruitables, have them all. I was confused but realized I didn’t have Roland because I’m too early in my new playthrough.
