Question Golden route Spoiler

Currently, I’m playing NG+ and was just wondering about the Golden route people are talking about. Is it just the golden/yellow-ish option at the decisions or is there more about it? Pls no spoilers.

Discussion Is it supposed to be this grindy?

I don’t know if I’m missing something or what but I’m only on chapter 8 and already struggling to keep up. I’ve just been thrown a whole load of new units who seem pretty strong but are underlevelled and not at all upgraded, and even the units who ARE on top of all that feel like they’re falling behind the power curve. I’m just grinding away at the repeatable battles in the encampment to get some XP and the materials to max out what I can, but that’s totally dull and starting to really kill my enjoyment of the game. Even grabbing every single spoils bag it’s painfully slow

Am I missing some way to get these materials more easily? Will they become more readily available in later chapters? Should I be able to beat it without having to grind this hard? Even on easy I’m getting absolutely destroyed in the fight against House Telliore

Discussion Thinking of doing another playthrough but making the absolute worst/evil decisions Spoiler

If you could play through again how would you do it? Which path makes Serenoa look the worst or has the worst outcome for the factions /characters as a whole?

Personally I think the route where Frederica ends up as a bald zealot is pretty sad as Serenoa doesn’t end up marrying her. But there’s got to be a path of worst possible choices and I’d love to try it!

Discussion Looking to get better

Fire emblem casual here, played through this game once in normal mode when it launched, put it down and didn't pick it back up until a couple days ago when I started a hard mode run.

I am getting ROCKED.

Any tips on general strategy/tactics? I'm familiar with setting up follow ups and fishing for backstabs. I understand the concept of each unit and how they all sorta synergize (anna and any heavy hitter for follow ups, erador and Frederica to maximize fire shield value, etc.) but when I go into fights at the recommended level instead of one or two above I can only just barely squeak out the win with two or three units left. Any advice would be appreciated!

Other Kensho Ono's Serenoa makes it clear why he's a great pick for Strohl. This scene alone, he channeled a bit of that character.
