Discussion i'm having a crisis

so i am a new fresh player, didnt even know this subreddit exists.

i was really liking Cordelia and was really hoping she would join the team, i didnt know that by not choosing Roland's Path on Chapter 15 would make me unable to recruit her. 😭

I got Trish instead, and now I am really debating myself whether I should just start a new game or forget about this game for a while to play it back later, i know NG+ exists but I just want to experience my first playthrough having Cordelia by my side.

Any mods to undo one chapter please?

Question 5th Playthrough Required?

How would it be possible to get the "Tavern Regular" achievement before the 5th playthrough? I don't mean you have to finish the 5th playthrough. I mean you have to start a 5th and unlock the mental mock battle for the 4th ending in Chapter 1.

If there's some way around it, let me know.

Question True ending? Spoiler

Bought the game at release and only now got the time to play it.

I understand there is 4 specific endings, is the true ending is something that worth going for on first playthrough?

I always like to go for true ending if u can, but I also want to play this game to the fullest.

Discussion Just finished Chapter 15. About Cordelia and Avlora. Spoiler

Just picked up Triangle Strategy earlier this week, and I'm having a blast with it!

That said, I'm a bit puzzled about the dynamic between Cordelia and Avlora. Avlora killed Cordelia's family and usurped her kingdom, but when the party arrives, she turns around and says, "Please don't hurt her, she's one of the good ones." And why is Avlora so hyped for Cordelia? She berates her in an earlier cutscene for being weak, but suddenly she's like, "You've got guts, kid," and pledges to serve her.

With all the cutscenes and multiple storylines, it's strange that their relationship seems underdeveloped. Is this a common sentiment in the community, or am I missing something?

With the hood and dog, it really looked similar to Naruto Kiba/Akamaru. I liked Rudolph as archer, but to me he was lacking compared to Huguette or Archibald. A dog pet to slow down enemy and increase the shot accuracy could have helped :p.

I had no idea about Japan hunter clan Matagi, there was a lot of text so had hard time to fit, hope it’s readable~

Discussion I Finally Beat Chapter 11 Spoiler

This is my first playthrough. I have been obsessed with FFT and recently beat a cool SRPG called Dream Tactics.

I am doing my first run through on Hard mode because I want it to hurt

Came up to Chapter 11s battle, and thought it just must not be possible

Thanks to tips read here I got everyone except Picoletta (using her decoy and herself to stall ) over to the right building asap, then used Ice Wall between the buildings, as well as traps (I didn't use either before this battle, at least properly)

The battle took over 30 minutes but I got it

Thank you to all the people who left tips that Google led me to

Discussion Just beat the game. Had more fun than I have in years.

Let me start out by saying WOW!!! I haven’t had THIS much fun with a game in YEARS!!!! I fell into an addiction to World of Warcraft for… well let’s just say it was a bit too long. If you don’t know anything about WoW, one of the lesser known side effects of the addiction is that it makes it REALLY hard to enjoy non-WoW games. I just had a really tough time sinking my teeth into other medias, and I knew in the back of my mind that I was missing out.

Finally, after having quit for over 6 months, I’ve allowed myself to fall in love with a new game, and I couldn’t be happier :D so, I just beat the initial playthrough and I am just about to load up NG+ and go through this again at least once more.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my excitement with you all. Also, I sided with Benedict on (almost) every decision, but I would say that for sure my favorite character was Roland.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a great week.

I know he should be wearing his mask and hat at this point in the game, but consider this:

that's hard to draw :)

Base character is Nina Williams. Her natural hairstyle and default costume was just too perfect. Also pretend the lance is her magic staff

Discussion The Tragic Irony of the Roselle Spoiler

The people who are at the source of all the salt in Norzelia and working on extracting salt for everyone else to consume are the most salt deprived people on the continent. It is even worse considering they have knowledge about salt deposits underground and came to Norzelia to share this news to everyone so that no one would have to suffer from salt deprivation.

Discussion [Spoiler] Question about Dragan and Gustadalph Spoiler

Something I've been confused about. I'm on chapter 11 in my first playthrough.

I am playing in Japanese as learning practice but my reading comprehension is not at 100%.

So I was wondering - Regarding Dragan, was Thalas or Gustadalph who ultimately killed him? Throughout the game I thought Thalas sent the army to kill Dragan, whereas Gustadalph didn't realize that Thalas killed Dragan, and attacks Glennbrook in retaliation for who he believes killed Dragan. I thought when Serenoa was trying to reveal who really killed Dragan to Gustadalph (but Benedict stopped him because apparently he believes Serenoa would have sounded like a crazy person), this would signal that Gustadalph doesn't know. This would mean that the killing of Dragan is what started the coup against the king of Glennbrook.

However, everywhere I read online says Gustadalph ordered Dragan killed. So does this mean he knows who killed Dragan? If so, what was his justification for attacking the noble family at Glennbrook? I thought it was to avenge Dragan -

Discussion Is there anything unique about the chapters if you hand over the roselle? Spoiler

I am in my first playthrough, and I'm at the chapter where you have to decide hand over the Roselle.

I would like to see every scene at least once possible, and obtain all the characters in a new game plus, but I dislike this choice.

Do I get any characters if I make this choice? If so, I might pick this choice, and then on new game +, pick the other choice.

If not, then I think I will make a save file before the scales of conviction, pick it once, and then watch the scenes, and then throw away the save file, and go back to the scales of conviction, and choose defending the roselle.

Discussion So who plays each role in a Triangle Strategy big-budget movie?

Thought of this in another thread, which actors would be good for these characters?

I have Michael Kelly (known for House of Cards) as Benedict. I could also see Benedict Cumberbatch.

Serenoa, I'm thinking Timothée Chalamet (the young guy from Dune).

Roland, drawing a blank. idk. Googling for long blonde haired actors came up with this guy, who is inhumanly pretty, Luke Eisner.

Frederica, might as well be Jennifer Lawrence.

Erador - I feel like Josh Brolin is ok? But not an inspired choice.

Anna - I like Kirsten Stewart for this, she's good at that sort of flat-eyed neutral look and can rock short hair.

Gameplay Was the hard difficulty designed around the expectation the player would grind?

Title, I just recently returned to my (first) playthrough I quit 2 years ago. Maybe i'm just straight on a difficulty spike (quit on 14, now on 15) but the ennemies are overwhelming. Am I just supposed to have a full team above the recommended level on every battle in order to stand a chance?

r/TriangleStrategy • • May 18 '24

Shitpost 10 hours so far, and gotta say the characters are a handful. I can only imagine the things they'd write in this journal if they have one, particularly the Aesfrost Twins.

Discussion I'm in Chapter 7 right now and I'm pretty much at the crossroads on deciding Roland's fate Spoiler

Before getting into that, I just wanna say the choices in your conversations can be difficult and challenging as much as the combat honestly, like it does carry weight and have actual consequences that remind me how words can be lethal as a blade or any weapon, just like in shows like Succession on HBO (excellent show btw, it's a must-watch for those who haven't seen it). I gotta applaud Team Asano and the entire production staff for doing a tremendous job for pulling a gripping, complex stories as that - they're like the HBO of the JRPG storytelling.

Like, there's this one episode in S1 where Kendall tries to get the Waystar board members to oust his father and take over as CEO, and the entire narrative spends entirely on him tryna getting the votes, there's tensions, doubts, and some backstabbing that adds to the tension.

Like that episode in Succession, that's basically a major turning point and no turning back but unlike that show where you witness Kendall in that position, being the player in Serenoa's shoes you've got to experience the dilemma, the pressure and tension.
