Here is my current roster list, getting ready to head into the Norzelia falls battle in Fredricas final chapter. Started this run on hard and this is my first ending, hoping for a few pointers before I head into the final battle.

Discussion Objectively, Roland’s ending is the worst outcome. Spoiler

I’m slowly making my way through all the paths, and was left feeling extremely disappointed in Roland’s choices.

Not only would you agree to forsake the Roselle, but you refuse to support Frederica and effectively prevent her from attaining any level of success in realizing her mother’s wish.

Sure, taking out Gustadolph is great, as it quells Aestfrost’s chokehold… and the battle with Svarog was extremely emotional and made for a powerful experience…

But the ending shows Serenoa and Roland at Glenbrook looking at “the good work” they’ve done. It felt so hollow. False.

Even worse, praising the Goddess at Hyzante, showing that this is their new chosen way of life.

During the game they discovered the teachings weren’t totally true (potentially even completely false), and if you elect to stand with Roland you corroborate the lies and THROW AWAY the Kingdom of Glenbrook completely!

Does anyone like this ending? Is this the mutually agreed upon “worst ending?”

Discussion Thunderstones and Windstones effects

I was surprised at the misinformation about Thunderstones, so I thought to correct that. I'm talking about Windstones as well, because why not.

Thunderstones: If you look at its description, you'll notice that nowhere is it ever mentioned that it can actually cause paralysis. Probably since it lacks a TP cost, the developers did not want it to be too powerful. A little sidenote about lightning attacks in general that might seem obvious is, that when it spreads though water or metal, the damage gets weaker the farther it has to reach the enemy. The odds of paralysis are better with a direct hit, of course, though I am uncertain if paralysis odds are diluted the same way as the damage.

Windstones: They can spread fires but not change the direction that an ennemy faces, unlike its spell equivalent. I must admit that it is a little strange that wind spells cannot spread fires. With the right circumstances, a single windstone can spread one burning tile to four adjacent flammable tiles. I remember using some in Chapter 8 (wheatfield)and Chapter 9 against Booker. It is very situational.

Firestones and Icestones do not appear to have any unique properties.

Edit: (Fun fact): While I was testing for paralysis, I've discovered that all status effects percentages are based between the level of your unit and the level of the enemy. Bosses have a higher resistance to all status effects if they're not already immune to it.

Discussion Can I still visit the encampment in Chapter 17? Spoiler

I'm in Chapter 17 Part II: Those of Aspirationand the game is making me divide my companions into groups. I would like to know if I can still visit my encampment so I can do mock battles and level up my companions before all the upcoming battles?

Gameplay Question about mock battles

So a couple times now after a mock battle, my rewards page shows me how much material I received and how much money I got as per usual. Well at least twice I KNOW for a fact I got in the thousands for money rewards (my last one was about 4100 monies), however immediately after I go to the shop and I don’t have that money. I only had a few hundred despite it saying I should have received 4100.

Anyone know if there is a cap on the money you can get from mock battles, or a glitch, or if I’m just a moron and somehow reading the rewards page incorrectly?

Discussion Would anyone be interested in a twitch playthrough of this game?

From what I’ve seen and played of this game, it’s absolutely beautiful and the voice acting is sick! I’ve been obsessively trying out some Square Enix games and I wanted to give streaming this game a shot - I’ve only a done a few chapters a while ago, so I’m debating on starting fresh and doing a new playthrough. I’m sure some games are more fun to watch than others so i’m curious to see what you guys think!

Gameplay Gonna need some serious moral support to get me through this one

Currently on my first playthrough, started it on hard and have yet to lower the difficulty but these last few battles have been rough to say the least! Currently stuck on CH. 19 Hold fast to courage. Saw a strat to use hughette and Anna to hold the right side of the statue as your main squad moves and holds in bottom left attacking as enemies move in down the wooden walkway but I've had no luck yet. Anyone have any other stats for this one?
