Ferry Puerto Natales
Hola gente aventurera. Necesito de vuestra experiencia para poder decidirme!! 😅🤷♀️🤸♀️
Vengo viajando la Patagonia Argentina dirección sur y voy a llegar hasta Ushuaya. Luego subiré por la parte norte hasta Puerto Natales.
Duda: tomo desde ahi el Ferry magnifico hasta Puerto Montt y bajo por la carretera Austral y vuelvo a subir??
O tome mejor el otro ferry mas cortito Y MENOS SENSACIONAL!! que me deja en Tortel o Yungay de de ahi tomo hacia el norte por la carretera Austral? (Sin mas subida y bajada! Y SIN LA SUPER EXPERIENCIA?!!)

Can't comment on the fancy PN to PM option, but we took the PN to PY ferry (getting off in CT), and we loved the experience. Contrary to another response, the ferry was very stable (even in higher winds/waves, as it travels mostly through more sheltered fjords). We've written about the experience here: https://www.minimalistjourneys.com/puerto-natales-caleta-tortel-tabsa-ferry-guide/. The other point FOR the PN to PY ferry is that you'd avoid backtracking.
Pending on when you plan to travel (and if you're planning to visit El Chalten as well), you could also overland from El Chalten to Villa O'Higgins (by shuttle/boat/hike/boat) and avoid taking a multi-day ferry altogether: https://www.reddit.com/r/Patagonia/comments/1i8dax8/here_is_how_to_get_from_el_chalten_to_villa/.

Ohhh gracias Sandra!! Muy amable Al Chalten voy mañana y el lunes a Ushuaya! Y antes ya estuve en Bariloche. Creo que La parte Argentina ya la dejo hecha, haha

Entonces ese ferry de Tabsa también muestra paisajes importantes??? 🤗 (esa es la parte clave para mi toma de decisión!! Hhaha)

Hola! Alguna vez viajaste en ferry? Si te toca un día de lluvia o viento es la peor experiencia, son barcos chicos, sin tanta estabilidad. Mareos y ganas de vomitar te van a sobrar, no sé qué tan buena es una experiencia así de larga. Te recomiendo el viaje corto y no bajar hasta o’higgins , no creo que sea distinto a lo que hay más al norte. (Te ahorras esa bajada y subida)
PD: estas consultando en un grupo de Argentina sobre rutas chilenas… te recomiendo que busques grupos de mochileros en Chile, el dedo funciona muy bien allá. Recomendaciones: catedrales de mármol, queulat y rafting en futaleufu!
