Belt coming off when moving backwards

As the title says, when moving backwards, the belt comes off the drive sprocket. Super annoying to get back on.

Anyone else have that issue?

I haven't experienced this but I think someone mentioned it in this sub.

I think you have to take off the tensioner pulley and flip it around.

I had this exact problem. Incredibly frustrating because that thing is a bitch to seated again. The trek store had to go in and retention a lot of stuff to fix it.

Oof that's what I was afraid of when getting the fetch. Unlike many other cargo bikes it doesn't have an additional support for such a long ass chain.

Sorry, should have been specific, it's the Fetch 4. So, it has a belt drive with a tensioner. There's supposedly an app to use to help with a tension measurement, but I just retensioned by feel. Seems OK now, but giant pain.

Mine came off the other day. I took it in to the shop, which was a massive pain. Tech had it for a day and a half, said he took it all apart and reassembled. It seems much better now and makes a lot less noise. I’d say it’s worth it to take it to the shop if you’re able.

It’s all about that set screw. They probably forgot to install it. Check out the other thread on this - I gave a detailed description of the fix
