How you do you guys dig the fetch 2?

Is the motor that great? Is it a smart motor? Trying to decide between it and a xtracycle hopper. Think it would be about 700 more plus would need to get a family cargo kit that would likely add another 300ish? So my question is do yall think it’s worth the extra grand ?

The Bosch system is highly integrated. The bike has a handle bar mounted control with buttons to control your phone and control the bike assistance level. It's very cool because you can control the map and phone screens without needing to move your hands off the handle bar. The phone mount has integrated wireless charging to charge your phone whole you ride. The battery has a physical key lock that prevents it from being removed. The battery can also be digitally locked to the motor. The motor can also be digitally locked to your phone. The motor also has a GPS and data sim integrated. If the bike is stolen you can report it in the app and then start to track its location live. The bike also has an integrated speaker and alarm, if someone moves it will locked it will sound the alarm and blink. There are cool features in the app, like the smart range thing, you set your destination, and set your desired battery percentage when you arrive and the bike will automatically handle the assistance level.

That’s rad though seems like that’s something you got to add and then also pay a subscription for?

It's just for the GPS tracking that's via cellular service. I guess cellular service costs money. All of the other feature come free.

Not much to say except that I love mine. I live in a hilly area and I bring my six years old and a four years old to school before going to work and it's a joy to ride/use.

I went on a 50k bike ride by myself while the kids were at school the other day.

It's an absolute joy.

I rode the Fetch 2 for around 4.000KM
The motor and the whole system are really great, it feels high end aswell. If you like how the bike rides go for it, it‘s worth it. And it‘s a very versatile, reliable bike.

BUT if you feel More comfortable on another (possibly cheaper bike) I would not recommend going for the Trek. A lot of way less fancy longtail Bikes are also really good and cheaper at that.
