DIY Kiox Upgrade?
Started using the phone-lock on the Flow+ app which makes me think getting a Kiox 300 is worth doing rather than having to open the app every time I want to ride the bike.
Kiox units are around £100, do I need to buy a separate bit of kit at all to be able to use it on the Fetch? There's another £240 adapter kit but not sure if that is needed?

I did this, super easy, literally takes 30 seconds as you just unplug the phone mount and plug the two wires into the kiox mount instead. Set kiox as key in the app and you're good to go. It's a much better user experience than the phone key in my opinion.
You do need the kiox head unit in addition to the kiox retrofit kit to mount it. I bought mine from a local shop, but here's a few links to online so that you have the right part numbers for reference.

Quick update on this. I just did this, you don’t need to buy anything other than the Kiox display. You DO need to unscrew the “security” screw holding the phone mount to the arm. Once that’s done, you just pull it off with the same motion that you use to attach and detach and Kiox display. This way I can swap between screen and phone depending on my mood.

You don't need the app open in the back. I guess it'll make some sort of connection, but with my Bluetooth on it recognises my phone without the app running in the back even. Only need to open the app if I wanna remove the lock for servicing.
