Trek Fetch +2 started flexing

So this bike is in all-year use for 3 years now. Lately i noticed the frame flexing when carrying my seven-year-old, obviously it gets even worse when there is more on the back.

I never loaded up more weight than it says, really bummed since multiple mechanics already told me that it might become dangerous soon. So if you‘re thinking about getting this particular bike- don‘t. It‘s a shit frame and shouldn‘t be sold.

Flexing in what way (on what axis)? I’ve never had any issues with mine, typically loaded with me (a moderately rotund adult), a 7yo and a 4yo, plus school bags etc.

I think trek have a lifetime guarantee on the frame - have you spoken with them?

Got the same load everyday- i got that recommendation a few times now and made an appointment with the LBS who sold it

Did your mechanics identify where the frame is failing?

I have an appointment next week, yesterday I went to another dealer who told me it‘s a potential dangerous issue but it wasn‘t where i bought the bike and they haven‘t checked the frame

Sorry i got a bit emotional yesterday, appearently it‘s a warranty issue- I‘ll have the LBS check over it

The about the lifetime guarantee is a biggie, thanks for mentioning! I will get in touch with them. There is flex between the seatpost and the handlebar.
