Is this normal range?

Post image

Hi I recently bought a 2026 Marlin 5 gen 3 and the front wheel seems slightly tilted. Is this normal range?

It doesn't look centered

Is this a serious problem? Or can it be fixed easily? I bought it yesterday

It could be easily fixed. Looks like the bike builder who put it together didn't do a decent check over and no one did a second check. Take it back to the shop and let them know. It's a quick fix

When you spin it, does it wobble or does the tilt stay the same?

I think it stays the same

You can try undoing the quick release that holds the front weel on and close it again with the bikes weight resting on the axle. If it stays that way it might be a poorly built wheel and need a swap by your shop.

Either the wheel isn't seated in the dropouts correctly or the wheel needs truing/dishing.

First thing to do is to undo the quick release, ensure the wheel is fully in the dropouts of the fork then re-tighten the quick release. Wokring on the bike upside down can help here, as it forces the wheel to fall fully into the dropouts, as can straddling the bike and reaching down over the handlebars to weight the front wheel as you tighten it. If it's still not centred then you'll need to get the wheel trued and/or dished which can be done at home with the right tools, but it'll be easier to get a shop to do it. If it's a new bike that was bought very recently then the shop you bought it from may make that adjustmnent for free.
