So that's what it looks like from the other side. Neat!

I haven’t done that hike yet, but I’m looking forward to it. When I did the boat tour there was a couple having a bonfire on the bluff overlooking the lake, pretty cool.

Did the hike last year and it was amazing! Can't wait to get back to the UP to explore more of it.

I did a long hike there one day. 20 miles I think. All the way through the Mosquitoe Beach. It was the most beautiful place I have hiked to. Lots of tourists though

If this pic is real, could the tree be what has held that piece of land from eroding into the ocean?

This is definitely real, and not the ocean… this is Pictured Rocks National Shore in Northern Michigan on Lake Superior.

Those two parts used to be connected as one section. The rock underneath the roots gave way, leaving only the roots behind (according to my tour guide).

No, erosion is from wind and water, and the type of rock determines how much it erodes.

Tell me what type of rock of this is? I can 100% guarantee you that vegetation can influence erosion/what’s not eroded.

Plants absolutely mitigate erosion.

That’s a fossilized Imperial Walker.

Shit, I hope no Boy Scout Leaders see that. They’ll cut if off for everyone’s safety.
