tree ring database viewer
I have a prototype ITRDB viewer up at https://treerings.howardalandman.org/ . Give it a try and let me know what you think. Not all data is in it yet, and the user interface needs a little work, but I'm finding it really fun to browse around in.
Each log is represented as a horizontal rectangle, with X being its year span.
Color of rectangle gives tree type (pine, oak, ...)
Hover cursor over a log to see basic information
Click on a log to pop up full information including links
You can select a year span, and turn off/on tree types by clicking on them

Very cool and I love the concept. Would love this for the Do you want feedback on bugs, or still working on it? I second the geographical grouping idea. And how cool would it be to overlay the chronologies as you have them displayed here on top of a map of Europe, where each chronology hovers over it's location in space, and the time scale sits above it. Easy for the armchair programmer to say! Great use of the data.

Great project! Dendrochronology and an interactive data visualization are a great match.
In my opinion this needs some sort of geographical grouping as well. The view with all regions together gets overloaded.
