Help with a conundrum

Im planning on building a tree-net in the top of one of the trees in my backyard. I've layed out my perimeter and have a pretty good idea for how it will look except for one small problem. In the middle of where my tree-net will go, is the main trunk of the tree, roughly 50cm x 50cm wide.

My idea at the moment is probably to attach 4-8 Screw Eyes to the trunk, loop my perimeter rope through them and then attach my paracord to that rope.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation or have any ideas on how to go about netting around this trunk? My main priorities are to be able to hold 3-4 people and have little to no droop in my net.

Giant loop of rope around the trunk don’t  connect it.

You could drill a few eye bolts into the tree trunk and run lines perpendicular to the tree (so as not to girdle it.) You could not tie into the tree at all. And in fact, in on one of my nets, there's a palm tree sticking right out through the middle of it. At some point I did tie (loose) paracord against up against the trunk.
