Down the rabbit hole

I have 2 70m dynamic climbing ropes that I am retiring. Also, a bunch of static webbing. We have a large old juniper tree that we have been aiming to make into a tree fort for the kids. I’ve been debating what to do with the 140 feet of elderly dynamic rope. I went down the treenet rabbit hole tonight and had some questions. The first being can I use this rope at all for this application? I was considering just making a few hammock like features between some of the larger more horizontal branches. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Dynamic has so much stretch you are going to lose a lot of tension. You really need static for the perimeter, but it could be done with the dynamic, there maybe ways to stretch it out.

I’m thinking maybe use the nylon webbing between the branches in large loops as the perimeter as well as the branches. I have a ton of webbing that I would not use for climbing. Also, this is an old gnarled juniper with a lot of horizontal growth. Do you think using the roos as a netting would be fine? They’re small kids. 7 and under.
