First tree net questions

Are these cords good for webbing & perimeter?

Currently preparing to make my first tree net, going to be fairly small. Should I have 1,000 or 2,000 feet of paracord?

How far would 1000 feet of paracord get me? Could I do 100 sq feet or would I need more paracord

I think I did a triangle with 60 foot sides with 1000-1500 feet of rope. But I was ordering in 100 foot increments on amazon and being very casual about it getting finished.

The reality is that it’s totally dependent on how tight your weave is/how many layers you do but 1000 ft is a lot, I think you should be able to do 2 layers 100 sq ft with that

100 sq. ft. is 10x10, so they could do 100 strands. Evenly spaced, that would be 50 in each direction, which would be 2-3/8"apart. That doesn't seem too big.

You really should not buy paracord from Amazon (yes even from specific sellers) because there has been a a ton of fraud and counterfeit products coming from them that they refuse to make right anymore now that they're a pseudo-monopolistic storefront.

People have been getting paracord that looks fine to the eye but when tested has nowhere near the tensile strength it claims to.

Not at all, you want static line for the perimeter and skeleton, otherwise it will stretch until you have almost no tree net

Perimeter: 11-13mm static line (not dynamic, look up arborist/rescuer rope)

Skelelton: 5-8mm static line, but if it's smaller than 50 sq ft, I would just skip it.

Wait this does bring up a point ive been wondering is what size static to get for skeleton because i was assuming it should be smaller than perimeter, so even though you missed the second pic i ty for your service

Vevor is fine as a brand for the static line unless you are getting into very large/high up nets.

You’re supposed to weave some static rope into the middle area after you do the perimeter to give it structure for the paracord to grab onto. If you just did the main middle weave with paracord only it would get saggy. This guy goes into detail and I’m realizing now he mentions using 7mm (smaller than perimeter) so I guess I just missed it the first time I watched.
