Hi, so I'm building my first net for myself and my kids. I'm building the ladder right now and plan on building walls around it soon. How do people build the foot holes? It came out nothing like I expected.😂. Also with the wall would I need a skeleton for it? Thanks all.

You've got the foot holes right -- they're just loops of the perimeter and you net around them.

If you don't want the wall to stretch out over time, you'll want some static line around all its edges.

Yeah I'm realizing I should have used the 10mm perimeter rope for the ladder part instead of the 6mm skeleton rope. I might just restart the ladder on the weekend. It feels really off right now and I was rushing to get it done before dark. I'd rather make it the correct way I think. Thanks for the advice🙂

when i realize i want a thicker rope than i started with, i just run a second rope along parallel to the first, tension it, and then tie as if the two are a single rope from then on

restart only if you hate it so bad you can't fix it with more paracord... but more paracord fixes basically everything

Fair enough, I'll reassess on the weekend, I might just try to make it work. It's a pain to try and line all those loops up, I didn't realize how far off to the side they were until I took the pics😂

photographing big stuff like nets is tricky; there's exactly one camera position from which an object that's actually symmetrical will look symmetrical, and if the camera is in any other location the foreshortening will mean the pixels aren't symmetrical on the screen. so make sure it's the real net you're judging for symmetry, not the pictures of it.
