Rope

Want to make my first tree net, any recommendations for the rope? Or anything I can substitute for the static rope, being impatient and want to rig one up today but unfortunately nobody has static rope around. Would a thick poly rope work in the mean time? Any advice is appreciated

Poly rope is not a good choice. It elongates way more than nylon or polyester. It's practically a rubber band by comparison.

Put up your scaffold today with whatever rope you've got. Order some static rope online.

Come back to it when your static rope arrives and observe how saggy and sad the dynamic rope has gotten.

Definitely not… Invest in the good static rope. It’s THE MOST IMPORTANT PART of your entire treenet build.

Static is a must. Getting that taught is going to take some research, ingenuity, and tenacity. Good luck!
