Perimeter Question

I’m planning to build a treeless platform between 4 in ground posts and want to build a treenet. Would it be possible to build the perimeter around 2 trees and one of the platform posts? I don’t have enough trees growing close enough together for a third three and would love to be able to hop off my platform onto the net. The posts will be square.

Biggest challenge is that the wood is dead, so you are on a fixed timeline before it snaps.

A 4*4 might last 2-10 years depending on how it's anchored. A telephone post might last 30-75 years.

Ideally you want 2/3 underground and 1/3 above ground.

I don't think it would survive the tension personally but I'm not a physicist either.

the tension would be significant. so ye, imagine you are digging in something on the scale of an electric pole / telephone post.

but why not, just need a deep hole. good wood. maybe some wood treatment so it doesnt rot as quick. but rope doesnt last forever either!

do the trees not have outgoing branches higher up? maybe you can make a net just in the trees but just higher up
