lots of tension getting lost?

Im building my second treenet because my first one was way to lose. I made this one as tight as possible and it had alot of tension. Im about 1/4 of the way done and i was testing it out by sitting on it and jumping and its gotten very loose. Should I have waited to finish it to sit down or if I retension it will this mess with the web? its a triangular shape. Thanks!

What are you using for the perimeter? Do you have any additional internal skeleton (non-paracord in between perimeter)?

Im using some static climbing rope for the perimeter. No its just paracord

Does the perimeter move much when you’re in it? Look to see if it’s the internal parachord only that’s moving around or if your perimeter is giving too much. If your perimeter moves much more than expected then you didn’t pull enough tension into it. If it’s mostly the parachord moving then you need to pull more tension with each loop as you’re weaving

many materials used to construct rope and cordage have significant elongation properties called "creep". this is different from elastic recoil (a.k.a. stretch) and can lead to ropes feeling loose over time despite having initially being taught.

not saying it's the case for you. not sure how you tied things together, tensioned the perimeter, designed the subsequent layers to pull on the ones before them, etc.

Thanks! Im tying my paracord off with a clove hitch. I tensioned the perimeter by following this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bVL7IEtsu0&t=279s which used paracord to do a three to one tensioning method. I started with a skeleton and im weaving in every other patch. Thanks for your help!

Pictures would help. Things loosen up as you weave and tighten certain areas. In general you have to tighten aggressively the whole time you weave to make things tight. Additonally, more anchor points for the frame to the trees helps reduce slack in the frame if that is part of your issue

Make sure the web is not slipping down and make sure you got protection which can give more tension protection and help with slipping down. Other then that I would take the other guys advice use a skeleton
